Parable of Talents:
Matthew 25:14-30 (ESV)

Stewardship - Return - Opportunity

The Parable of the Talents is the second of three parables where Jesus tells us in Matthew 25 how we are to live our life while waiting for His return. It's an amazing story of how we are judged based on what God has given us, a "talent" proportionate to our ability, and what God is trusting us to do with it: to multiple what was given to us or suffer the consequences of "just burying those talents".

It is our belief that if the 3rd person in this parable had access to wise council and coaching, his life would have ended in a much better place. Clearly the "master" in this story believes all 3 have the ability to be successful - or he wouldn't have entrusted them with His talents.

If we believe that we are created in the image of God, Imago Dei, and if God is a creator (afterall it is the first sentence in the Bible), then we all have those innate abilities to multiply those things entrusted to us by God and to be rewarded for it.
